Definition of Summer....

Summer just isn't Summer without Sam Adams Summer ale (well according to me and my husband, anyway). Its only available from April to August and those 7-8 months in between are grueling! ;)

UNFORTUNATELY, I will not be enjoying any Sam Summer this year. fml.

For those of you who CAN partake in this refreshing past time, drink it ice cold with a slice of lemon, YUM!

Gemma (Jem-ah): of italian origin meaning "Precious Jewel"

I decided a long time ago (far before I knew I was having a girl) that I was going to name the baby Gemma. Gemma Rose, isn't it beauuuutiful? I partly got the inspiration from an Australian model named Gemma Ward. She looks like an angel.

(OBVIOUSLY my Gemma will as well ;)

Cleaning the whole house and figuring out dinner plans only to find out my husband might be coming home a day later than I originally PLANNED! Ugh how annoying.

I saw this picture, and oh my, I'm feeling the chunky sweater and it makes me want a beer! This is for you Leslie (if you ever see this!) :)

Finally the days of waiting for my husband to come home are over! (Well, almost) It has been a long 4 1/2 months! He has been deployed with the Navy since January, leaving 3 days before I found out I was pregnant! Our life together so far has been a whirlwind of surprises and spontaneity so I would expect nothing less. This will be the first time we are physically together for a pregnancy! I'm so excited for him to feel the baby kick and all the amazing (and not so amazing) things that go along with it. I want to use this blog as a virtual scrapbook of our lives together especially through this amazing time, as well as a day to day update for our family and friends who are so far away!
